The Battery Show North America 2025 -

The Battery Show North America is considered the most important event on the continent for technology and the advancement of batteries for electric vehicles and hybrids. This year, The Battery Show took place from October 6-9 at Huntington Place, located in downtown Detroit. With around 723,000 square feet of exhibition space, industry leaders and technology enthusiasts alike were united under one roof for a conference dedicated to innovation, sustainability, supply chains, and trends in the automotive industry.

The Italian Trade Agency, along with ANFIA (Italian Association of the Automotive Industry) and AICA (Italian Garage Equipment Manufacturers Association), proudly exhibited the Italian Pavilion at this year’s Battery Show. 2A, Lopigom, Mevis, Podium, SED, Spea, Tecna, and Xepics were the companies present at the event, showcasing Italian innovation in a highly competitive international market. This was the Italian Trade Agency’s first official participation in The Battery Show in Detroit.

The American market for EV batteries is constantly growing, driven by the transition towards sustainable mobility and federal incentives. Research for this field primarily aims to find solutions for quicker recharging, higher energy density, and reduced weight for more compact batteries. This sector proves to be a great interest to Italian companies which are more oriented towards international cooperation and innovation within the realm of green energy.
