ITA’s Educational and Culinary Training with Wakefern’s foodservice teams

Morristown, NJ August 27th – Wakefern hosted three 1-day training sessions educating their foodservice teams from every grocery chain within the Wakefern Family.

These classes were composed of a graceful combination of history, cooking demonstrations and tastings designed to utilize Wakefern’s selection of authentic Italian products and develop direct applications for their in-store “prepared” and “hotbar” offerings.

Currently, the three focus areas are pastas, oils & vinegars, and traditional application and recipes. Curated lectures and demonstrations highlighted the difference between Authentic Italian and Italian "sounding" products, and raising the awareness of quality in taste and value of authentic Italian products.

The training sessions were filled with valuable information on Authentic Italian food and the excitement of the participants who, at the end of the sessions, shared their enthusiastic feedback of being empowered by useful knowledge that can be applied to better serve Wakefern’s customers.
